QEX2 is an easy to use Windows program to convert text documents between PC and PalmPilot format (both directions). The program supports Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000 and XP. Read in the Help Page how to convert and transfer documents to/from your PC/Palm device. QEX2 is Shareware, read here how to Register. Unregistered QEX2 is fully functionable but registration requesters will appear on program start and sometimes during work.

Registration
How to Register

QEX2 is fully functionable and it is shareware and so it would be nice if you could effort the registration fee to help developing the application in future. QEX2 will be devolped depending on the wishes of its users.

Brief Description

Conversion Tasklist
Each line in the upper part of the application represents a conversion task. Every task has its own settings, like filenames for PC and Palm document, sync direction, installation list etc., placed in the lower part of the window. Help, starting the conversion, registration and clipboard setting buttons are placed at the right side. The conversion status and buttons for managing the tasks are at the bottom. -> more

Clipboard Use
Let's assume you are working with your internet browser or favourite word processor and you've found an article or a piece of text you want to read on your Palm device (maybe later on the sofa or when on a conference). Just copy the text to your clipboard and convert it with QEX2, after a hotsync the text is ready to read or edit on your Palm. -> more

If the QEX2 main window is hidden you can start the clipboard conversion with the context menu of the QEX2 tray bar icon at any time. Even the conversion progress and sucess status of the conversion is shown. -> more

Distribute Mode
QEX2 allows to convert text documents or the clipboard content of your PC to more than one target Palm device with a single conversion. This is especially useful if you want to have the same text on multiple Palms, for example on a conference. -> more

Texts can be distributed to up to 31 users by the strike. The alternatively 'Custom' setting allows to convert to a directory of your chioce without installing the document to a Palm device.

Register Application
When starting QEX2 unregistered or after pressing the registration button a registration dialog will pop up, if you have already a registration code you can enter it here. If the code is valid and was entered correct, QEX2 won't pop up the registration demands anymore.

QEX2 is fully functionable and it is shareware and so it would be nice if you could effort the registration fee to help developing the application in future.

To get a registered user of QEX2 take the following steps:
In Euro-Zone you can also register by direct

• Preparation
  - start QEX2 and note down the HotSyncID in the registration dialog
  ... or press the 'Register' button and note the HotSyncID in the registration dialog
  ... or note down the first HotSyncID of the 'Install' list
  - Register QEX2 at one of the specified PalmSites, there you will need the noted HotSyncID
  - you will get a confirmation mail from the PalmSite (mostly very soon)
  - wait for the mail with the registration code (this can last few hours up to 1-2 busyness days)

• After receiving the Registration Code
  - start QEX2 and enter the received registration code in the registration dialog
  ... or press the 'Register' button and enter the code in the registration dialog
  ... do not enter the dashes in the code
  - now tap on button 'Register' of the dialog
  - a confirmation is shown, after pressing finally 'OK' QEX2 is registered
  - if possible do not delete the mail with the registration code
  - maybe you can print out this mail and file it
  - if the code is rejected, enter it again correctly

• Possibility 1: Transfer € 12.95 to my bank account:
  - send a mail to qrt@qland.de with subject 'QEX2-Bankpayment'
  - don't forget to add your noted HotSyncID in this mail
  - I will mail back my bank account data, so you can transfer the money
  - as soon as your money arrives (this can last few days up to a week)
  .. I'll send out the mail with the registration code
  
  
• Possibility 2: Put € 15 into an envelope (€ paper money only):
  - send a mail to qrt@qland.de with subject 'QEX2-Snailpayment'
  - don't forget to add your HotSyncID in this mail
  - I will mail back my postal address, so you can send the money
  - as soon as your money arrives
  .. I'll send out the mail with the registration code
  
  
• After receiving the Registration Code
  - start QEX2 and enter the received registration code in the registration dialog
  ... or press the 'Register' button and enter the code in the registration dialog
  ... do not enter the dashes in the code
